As a teaching artist, I specialize in working with young students, typically ages 5-10, to nurture their appreciation for music and develop creative skills and technical skills in tandem.
Private lessons
I teach private lessons that focus on general music, voice, or guitar. Alongside my students, I explore their interests, strengths, and goals in order to create a personalized curriculum to best serve their needs. Alongside musical proficiency, I often explore songwriting with my students as a way to develop their creative impulses and help them gain confidence as artists. Private lessons are typically half-hour weekly sessions at $50/hr.
Semi-private lessons
This style of lesson is particularly useful for my youngest students due its structure lying between a private lesson and a class. In contrast with traditional group lessons, students are gathered organically--rather than individuals signing up, a group is formed of already existing siblings, friends, neighbors, or classmates. Semi-private class rates are based on the number of students, starting at $65/hr.
